brown sugar lemonade
















This stuff is so tasty you’ll want to drink it straight. You can, and you should, but you may want to make it more often.




WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1 lemon

.5 cup brown sugar

12 oz water

Blender

Mesh Strainer


Cut your lemon in half and put the whole thing, seeds, rind, all of it in the blender with the brown sugar. Add half of the water and start blending, then pour the rest of the water in as it blends.


Pour it through a strainer to get all of the big solids out and you’re good to go! Test for freshness after 2 days, but typically this will keep 3-4 days in the fridge.


By blending the whole lemon, you retain the oils and bitterness of the peel to get a more dimensional flavor that gives good balance in a lot of drinks!
